Passport Photograph Guidelines
SSC now defaults to live photograph capture via webcam/mobile application. If uploading static photo (where permitted): Photo must be taken within 3 months. Face must cover 70-80% of the photograph. Do not wear cap, spectacles/glasses, or mask. Both ears should be visible.
Scanned Signature Guidelines
Must be signed on plain white paper. Sign in running handwriting, not in capital letters. Ensure the signature is clear and legible.
SSC CGL Upload Specifications - Candidate FAQ
Candidates must upload their passport photographs in JPG, JPEG format. Portals reject other file formats (such as PNG or PDF) to maintain standard server processing protocols.
Signatures must be scanned and uploaded in JPG, JPEG format. Clean white background paper is required.
Passport photographs must be exactly 276 × 354 px (or equivalent aspect ratio). Scanned signatures must be cropped to 472 × 157 px.
Photographs must be between 20 KB and 50 KB. Signatures must be compressed between 10 KB and 20 KB.
